San Pon Primary & Nursery School

Built in 1964 by the community, this government primary school started classes for grade 1 to 3 children only. It was only in 1976 that the school had offered up to grade 5 classes. As of early 2010, 8 teachers are currently taking care of a school of 80 primary and 21 nursery children. While teaching material is supported by the Laotian government, the school has insufficient funds to adequately renovate the building with 6 classrooms.

We will renovate the existing building, build two toilets and a water system and provide new furniture for the school. A new building will also be built for the nursery school, as the current school capacity cannot accommodate all students.
